Kellogg’s “do not eat” warning as the product has been pulled from the shelves

Kellogg’s has recalled one of its most popular products after it was found to be “unsafe to eat”.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issues recalls for a number of reasons, including when products contain allergens not disclosed on the packaging or if plastic is detected in the item.

When a product is recalled for any reason, the FSA shares details of what you should do if you bought the item, as well as detailed information about why the item has been withdrawn from sale.

Kellogg’s has recalled a batch of its chocolate-flavored cornflakes because they may contain “small pieces of hard food.” According to the FSA, lumps that have formed in the product make it “unsafe to eat”.

In its product recall statement, Kellogg’s said: “We have become aware of a very low level of small, hard lumps forming in our new chocolate flavor Kellogg’s Corn Flakes.

“These hard lumps could cause tooth damage or be a choking hazard and as a precaution we are recalling the product.
