Police investigate ‘football attack as 40 people enter pitch’

Police are investigating an ‘attack’ at a football pitch after 40 people entered the pitch. Warwickshire Police have launched an investigation into an alleged incident of violent disorder at Pack Meadow Football Ground.

The force said the man was allegedly assaulted at Coleshill Stadium following a match. He suffered facial injuries. While others entered the field.




No arrests have been made. Police inquiries are ongoing.

Taking to X, former Twitter, Atherstone & Coleshill SNT posted: “We are aware of an alleged incident of violent disorder at Pack Meadow Football Ground yesterday evening and have commenced an investigation. It is alleged that following the game a man was assaulted, and around 40 other people entered the field.

“One man reportedly suffered minor facial injuries, but no other injuries were reported. We are reviewing footage from the event and have launched an investigation with the support of match officials and West Midlands Police.
