Leicester: Man, 18, dies after being stabbed in the street

An 18-year-old man has died following a stabbing in Leicester.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Glazebrook Road, New Parks, just before 1.15pm BST on Wednesday.

The victim was treated for his injuries by air ambulance medics but was pronounced dead at the scene, Leicestershire Police said.

The force added that two 17-year-old males have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody while inquiries continue.

The force said a 52-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Two other men, aged 36 and 17, and a 38-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
