Jesus Christ Superstar review at Lowry Salford

I had never seen the outdoor live shows that people raved about, as my own introduction to it was watching the 1973 production, filmed in the Israeli desert, when I was much younger.

As a musical, the super memorable lyrics and songs have always stayed with me, and the talent of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber should not be underestimated given how this musical has stood the test of time. .

The set was “simply” amazing, among other things, the cross being part of the dinner table.
