Police need to find Uber driver who may have footage of fatal crash in Tottenham

Police are seeking to contact an Uber driver who may have footage of a fatal crash in Tottenham on Sunday (May 12) vital to their investigation. A man in his 40s was hit by a car at around 1am on The Roundway near the junction with Risley Avenue, N17.

Police attended alongside London Ambulance Service (LAS) paramedics, but despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Four men believed to have been traveling in the car that hit the man were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but have since been released on bail.




Detectives from the Met Police’s Roads and Transport Command were contacted by someone who was traveling in an Uber at the time of the collision. Detectives need to speak to the driver – who collected a ticket at around 00:50 on Walpole Road – as he may have caught the collision on dash cam.

The man’s family have been informed and are now being supported by specialist officers.
