Where is my constituency for the 2024 general election?

Voters will go to the polls this summer after Rishi Sunak called a general election – but with boundary changes affecting 90 per cent of constituencies, many will be voting in unfamiliar territory.

Thousands of people will discover the name of their constituency has changed since the 2019 general election when they choose a candidate to be their MP from the 4th of July.

Following three rounds of public consultation, the Boundary Commissions for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland published their final recommendations for new parliamentary constituencies last summer.

It means most constituencies will change in some way at the general election, and in some cases voters will be asked to cast their ballot in a completely new place.

You can find out which constituency for the 2024 general election you live in using our interactive gadget. Enter your postcode to see the name of your constituency from 2024, the name of your previous constituency (where it has changed) and the name of your sitting MP.

The most recent assessment was carried out to ensure that all constituencies are roughly the same size and respect local links between areas.
Except for the five protected island seats, all constituencies must have a population within 5% of the “electoral quota” of 73,393.
That means most constituencies will see at least some boundary changes.
