Manchester Road was closed when a girl was hit by the bus and rushed to hospital

A girl has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a bus in Bradford.

West Yorkshire Police were called to reports of a person hit by a bus on Manchester Road at 5.10pm, along with paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

A girl was hit by the bus on the busy main road and sustained injuries. Police did not say how serious the injuries were. She was taken to hospital and road closures remain in place with motorists being advised to find alternative routes.

A spokesman for the force said: “Police were called at 5.10pm (May 2) to reports of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian on Manchester Road, Bradford. Emergency services, including an ambulance, attended the scene.

“A girl was injured in the collision and was taken to hospital for treatment. Roads are currently closed and road users are advised to seek alternative routes.”
