Nick Hayes becomes Barnet’s latest arrival

Goalkeeper Nick Hayes is the sixth player to sign for Barnet this summer.

Hayes arrives from Ipswich Town. The 6’4 stopper is familiar to Barnet fans as he was part of the squad that knocked the Bees out of the play-offs earlier this month while on loan at Solihull Moors.

The 25-year-old has also represented the likes of Dunstable Town, Salford City and Southend United.

Barnet manager Dean Brennan told the club’s official website:

Nick has the right type of character I was looking for. His attributes match our philosophy and he has the right mindset that we need to bring success to our football club.

“Nick is signing a long-term contract with us which is brilliant. I know his personality; he will be a very popular member of our squad and a player who I know our supporters will be delighted to join me in welcoming to our club.”

Hayes made 28 appearances for Solihull last season, keeping nine clean sheets for the National League promotion finalists and FA Trophy runners-up.
