CITY ACHIEVES FAMILY EXCELLENCE STATUS FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR | News

Bradford City AFC have been awarded the EFL’s Family Excellence status for the third consecutive season.

Awarded for exemplary work in involving families on match day, the accolade was achieved by a record 68 EFL clubs for their work over the past campaign.

This figure recognizes continued improvement and best practice in family engagement across all leagues and supports clubs’ efforts to attract and retain the young fans of the future, with over one million junior supporters coming through the turnstiles in the EFL this season.

Clubs are judged on the quality of their matchday experience across a range of touchpoints, including ticketing, matchday entertainment, accessibility, facilities and communications.

City received two random visits by EFL representatives during the campaign – one against Swindon Town in October 2023 and the other against Mansfield Town in March.

The club was rated out of 10 on each of the visits from different areas, finishing with an overall score of 7/10 and achieving bronze status.

This placed the Bantams 16th in Sky Bet League Two and 60th in the EFL table.
