East Bay Logistics Extends 228,300 SQFT Lease at Sumner Warehouse

Cushman & Wakefield represents the expanding tenant in Sumner, WA

TACOMA, Washington – May 23, 2024 – Cushman & Wakefield announced that the firm represented Hayward, CA-based East Bay Logistics in the lease extension for its 228,256 square foot logistics/distribution facility in Sumner (Tacoma), Washington, near Port of Tacoma. The East Bay Logistics facility, where it provides supply chain management for coffee, sugar and cocoa products, is located at 4800 E Valley Highway at the southern end of Kent Valley in the Sumner-Pacific area. Property owned by Prologis, Inc.

Jay Hagglund of Cushman & Wakefield, along with Patrick Mullin and Scott Alan, also of the firm, joined forces to represent the tenant in the transaction.

Founded in 1997, East Bay Logistics provides warehousing and logistics services for coffee, cocoa and sugar commodities. The company serves the Bay Area, Los Angeles and Seattle markets.

“This is a critical location for East Bay Logistics in serving the Greater Seattle customer base. The company has been operating here for several years, particularly because of its convenient location that offers direct access to SR-167 and SR-410 with easy access to I-5 as well as the Port of Seattle,” said CEO Jay Hagglund. .

The East Bay Logistics Sumner facility also features a 35-foot headroom, ESFR sprinkler system, 56 tall dock doors with leveling at each position, 200 parking spaces and T-5 motion sensor lights.

According to Cushman & Wakefield’s latest industrial report for Q1 2024, vacancy for the Seattle industrial market was 6.0%, with vacancies in Sumner finishing a notch higher at 6.6%.
