Soccer Aid 2024 date, tickets, how to watch on TV and team line-ups

Soccer Aid is back with more famous faces taking to the pitch for a very good cause. As always, this year’s event – billed as “the world’s biggest charity football match” – is raising money for Unicef.

The fundraiser has raised almost £40 million since it was co-founded by singer Robbie Williams in 2006 with the aim of bringing together celebrities and big names in football to help children around the world have the best possible start in life. An England team is seen defeating their opponents, the Soccer Aid World XI.

Previous famous exhibition match players have included Gordon Ramsay, Gethin Jones, Olly Murs, Marvin Humes and John Bishop. Teddy Sheringham, Graham Le Saux, Jaap Stam and Roy Keane are among the footballing legends who have lined up alongside them in previous games.

Organizers say: “Supported by passionate fans in an iconic stadium and broadcast live on ITV and STV, the event harnesses the power of football to ensure children can grow up happy, healthy and able to play.”
