shots fired at Harrow Road shop, police cordons in place

Urgent police inquiries are underway this evening after shots were fired at a shop in Harrow Road, Brent.

The incident happened just after noon today, a residential window was also damaged by gunfire. Harrow Road was closed at the junction with Warfield Road and the 18 bus route was diverted.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 12.28pm on Friday 24 May to reports of shots fired in Harrow Road NW10.

“Officers responded.

“No injuries were reported.

“An extensive search of the area was carried out but the suspects could not be found. Urgent searches for their location are underway.

“A number of carcasses were recovered.

“A shop shutter and a residential window were damaged.

“A crime scene is in place and investigations are ongoing.”
