Nuneaton Carnival 2024 procession route revealed amid ‘major change’

Nuneaton Carnival organizers have revealed the major route for this year’s procession. Known as one of the city’s biggest annual events, this year’s carnival will take place on Sunday, June 9.

Commission members said the traditional route has not changed, starting at Caldwell Road, winding through Attleborough, through parts of downtown and then back to Caldwell Road. But as CoventryLive reported, there is a big change this year.

Instead of the procession starting at 1 p.m., it was moved forward to 12 p.m. Speaking about the change and route, a carnival spokesperson said: “It’s the same route as previous years, with a road closure, but with one big change – the start time for the procession will be midday, leaving from Caldwell Road.

“We can’t wait to see all your fabulous smiles along the trail.”

As well as the procession itself, the gala grounds will also host food, drink, stalls and a live music stage. This year’s theme is ‘Around the World’ and the carnival committee has set a challenge to locals who live along the procession route.
