Wanderers averaged more than 20,000 supporters at the Toughsheet Community Stadium last season, but how do their numbers rank amongst the rest of League One?

The Whites have been supported in numbers since the start of the campaign, with crowds in excess of 24,000 on five separate occasions – those being the Wigan, Blackpool, Reading, Portsmouth and Barnsley clashes.

Bolton’s figures put them second in League One, with Derby at the top. The Rams averaged more than 27,000 fans at Pride Park throughout the season en route to automatic promotion.

Portsmouth also finished in the top three with nearly 19,000 fans attending games at Fratton Park as John Mousinho’s side won the title and ended a long wait to return to the Championship.

Charlton, Reading, Barnsley, Blackpool and Wigan were the other clubs in the third tier with an average figure of more than 10,000.

Burton were bottom of the table, averaging less than 3,500 fans at the Pirelli Stadium as they avoided relegation to the fourth tier. Fleetwood, Cheltenham, Stevenage and Wycombe were the other clubs with figures below the 5,000 mark.
