Nicki Minaj has been released by Dutch police ahead of her Manchester Co-op Live Arena show

Singer and rapper Nicki Minaj has been released after her arrest in Amsterdam. The artist would have been detained in the Netherlands a few hours before she took the stage at the Manchester Co-op Live Arena.

The 41-year-old American singer, known for Starships, Super Bass and Anaconda, is set to perform at the Co-op Live Arena on Saturday night as part of her Pink Friday World Tour. A statement to the PA news agency of the National Police Corps said that a woman, aged 41, was arrested after allegedly trying to take soft drugs from Schiphol airport to another country.

An update from Dutch forces around 9:00 p.m. said they had released “their suspect and she can move on,” the PA reports.

Minaj’s show at Co-op Live was originally scheduled to have doors open at 6:30 p.m., but that was changed to 7 p.m., and fans have since poured into the venue.
