Leeds United will face Southampton at Wembley in the play-off final, with the winner earning promotion back to the Premier League.

If the Whites win, it will be the first time in the club’s history that they will be promoted through the play-offs.

They missed out on automatic promotion after a poor run of form and, although they have already lost twice to Southampton this season, Farke’s side rediscovered top form in the second leg against Norwich.

Farke, who twice guided former club Norwich to automatic promotion to the top flight, said: “We are quite focused and focused. We know it’s a massive game.

“It’s a final and that’s why you’re always more focused in a game like this, but it’s also important to stay calm and find a good balance.

“Obviously we’re very motivated, as are our opponents, but we’re all looking forward to this game. It’s a 50-50 game. It’s a massive game. Anything can happen.

“But that also means it’s a big chance of promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking and for that we’re really excited.”

Over 36,000 tickets have been allocated to Leeds fans at Wembley.

The start is at 15.00.
