Baylis and Harding fans say new range of hand and body wash smells like £168 perfume

Baylis and Harding have launched an exciting new body care range with long-lasting fragrances – and shoppers have even compared them to expensive fragrances from brands such as Le Labo and Tom Ford.

Collaborating with master perfumers, The Edit offers three sensual scents – Twilight Amber, Neroli Sands and Cherry Temptation – in hand soap and gel. Shoppers can purchase the limited range from Amazon and Boots, with prices starting from £3.

To give the public a tease of the new scent, the Baylis and Harding team sampled in London’s Covent Garden and asked passers-by about their signature scents, and the answers ranged from “Thé Matcha 26, Le Labo” to fruity or fruity. “Oudy” perfumes, one person saying Chloe’s original perfume and another opting for Chanel’s Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum.

When asked to try the new fragrance, one couple commented: “It smells quite similar to what I said was our signature fragrance, to be fair, Le Labo.”

While Le Labo’s matcha tea with cedar wood and bitter orange scent can set you back £168 for 50ml, Baylis and Harding’s Twilight Amber offers similar notes at a much more affordable price, the Daily reported star Boots are currently offering 25% off selected products and shoppers can save £1 on body gel and get it for £3.

Others who prefer to buy in bulk can get a six-pack on Amazon for £18. You can also buy a pack of six body washes and six hand washes for £36 instead of £48 on Amazon.

One influencer shared her thoughts after trying Neroli Sands Body Wash and said: “I’m in love with this new collection from Baylis and Harding. Specifically, the fine Neroli Sands perfume! Bubble up and escape to the citrus groves of the Mediterranean with this beautiful scent of sweet neroli, orange blossom and Calabrian bergamot!”

Another bought Cherry Temptations body gel in red wine and said it reminded him of a £180 eau de parfum, detailing: “Smells amazing, very similar to Tom Ford Lost Cherry! I wish they made a body lotion too!”

A third scent is ‘unreal’ and she added: ‘I saw this in my local Boots and it smells amazing, I’ve been using it for hand and body wash. Think it’s meant to smell like something really expensive, at £4 each you can. It doesn’t go wrong. It lathers really well and the scent is amazing.

But another didn’t think the scent lasted long enough, they shared: “Smells amazing in the bottle and lathers quite well, however the scent doesn’t last long after you rinse off. It’s just fine.”
