Royal Enfield has some ambitious plans to launch four 350cc motorcycles by 2024. Some of these bikes will be launched sometime in 2022 and 2023. The heavily camouflaged test mules of the Hunter 350 and Super Meteor 650 have been spotted several times on Indian roads. In this article, we will discuss about the Royal Enfield Hunter and what it will offer to its buyers.

Royal Enfield Hunter is seen in a video

An official video posted by Royal Enfield talking about the Himalayas has been posted on their YouTube channel. The video briefly talks about making changes in the Himalayas for a trip to the South Pole. Royal Enfield has been testing the Himalayan in Iceland for two years and the bike is now ready for the 90 South Expedition. In this video, when they show the Himalayan being modified in their workshop, you get a glimpse of the Hunter 350 in the background. The rear half of the Hunter 350 is visible at 1 minute 27 seconds into the video.

Design

The Hunter is said to be a roadster that will use the new J-series platform. The fame will be the same as that used in the Meteor 350 and the new Classic 350. What we can conclude from the spy shots is a bike that offers a combination of riding positions and sporty, with a wide straight handlebar and legs fixed at the back. This is for a sportier riding position. The bike also has a single long seat instead of a split seat.

Motor

The Hunter 350 will have the same engine that we see in the Meteor 350 and the new Classic 350. The Hunter 350 will most likely be powered by a 349cc air-cooled single cylinder petrol engine that produces 20PS and 27Nm engaged couple. to a five-speed gearbox. The bike will get 35mm telescopic forks at the front and dual gas-filled shock absorbers at the rear. The bike will get front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.

All these specifications and design language lead to the conclusion that the bike will compete with the Honda CB350RS, the upcoming bikes from the Yezdi Roadking.
