Urgent alert as schoolgirls missing for several days may be in Birmingham

The public have been asked to call 999 if they spot two missing teenage girls who may be in Birmingham. Police are growing concerned for Abbie, 15, and Grace, 12, who may have traveled to Birmingham from Sussex.

They were last seen in Worthing on Friday morning and are believed to have taken public transport to the West Midlands. CCTV images of the pair have been released and detailed descriptions of what they were wearing when they were last seen.




Anyone who sees them or knows their whereabouts is urged to call 999. Birmingham Police also shared the update from Sussex Police on their Facebook page on Sunday morning.

A Sussex Police spokesman said on Sunday: “We remain concerned for Abbie, 15, and Grace, 12, who have been reported missing together from Worthing.

“They were last seen in the town at around 8am on Friday 24th May. Officers are concerned for their welfare and believe they may have taken public transport, possibly to travel to Birmingham.

“Abbie is 5’7″ of large build with wavy brown hair. Grace is 5’7” of slight build with dark brown hair and glasses. Abbie was wearing a black t-shirt, black leggings, pink Nike Air Force trainers, Nike socks and a shoulder bag.
