Horrific footage shows ‘machete’ gang violence on a Sheffield street as two people fight for their lives

Video footage has emerged showing the grim reality of street violence in Sheffield.

The shocking images have been shared online and appear to show armed men running with guns. Dozens of people can be seen in the streets, several carrying what appear to be weapons. Two injured men can be seen lying on the floor.

The video recordings were shared online by imjustsheff on Instagram, which suggested those involved were armed with machetes. A man who commented on the video said he drove past the area and saw about “50 men with sticks and stones”.

South Yorkshire Police are investigating street disturbances on Saturday afternoon in Woodbourn Road. Two people were seriously injured. It was reported that a large group of people were fighting in the street and several people were injured.

Four people were transported to the hospital, and two are considered in critical condition. Eight other people are believed to have suffered non-life threatening injuries and were treated at the scene.

A number of vehicles were also reported to have been damaged during the disturbance. Several arrests were made on suspicion of violent disorder.
