Kate Middleton is known for flaunting her chic wardrobe and polished beauty alongside her philanthropic efforts.

However, she once looked unrecognizable as she celebrated World Bee Day.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account posted a snap of Kate tending a beehive in the summer of 2022, the Mirror reports.

It was taken in the summer of 2022 at the Anmer Hall property that Kate shares with Prince William on the Sandringham Estate and where she keeps bees.

Accompanying the photo was a tweet that read: “We’re talking about #WorldBeeDay. Bees are a vital part of our ecosystem and today is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the essential role that bees and other pollinators play in keeping people and the planet healthy. .”

Beekeeping is believed to be a shared interest between Kate and her younger brother James, but the Instagram post left many Royal followers expressing their amazement at her hobby.

Following the unveiling of the photos, many Royal enthusiasts expressed their amazement.

One asked, “Is there anything this lady can’t do?” while another exclaimed: “HRH continues to surprise us all.”

Another fan commented: “Absolutely brilliant!! The Princess of Wales is full of surprises!”

Kate Middleton once charmed audiences by sharing her homemade honey during a visit to the Natural History Museum in 2021.

She delighted the schoolchildren with a taste of the sweetness, straight from her hives at Anmer Hall.

The Duchess of Cambridge engaged the youngsters, asking them: “‘Want to try some?’ I have a spoon each. This one came specially from my beehive. See if it tastes the same as at home. Does it taste like store-bought honey? Does it taste like flowers?

Similarly, Queen Consort Camilla has shown a passion for beekeeping at Raymill, her Wiltshire residence.

During a trip to Launceston, Cornwall in 2022, she shared her experiences with local honey producers, revealing that she actively cared for her bees and had only lost one colony over the winter.

Her commitment also extends to her role as president of Bees For Development, which supports beekeepers and conserves bee habitats globally.

The royal affinity for beekeeping extends to Buckingham Palace, where four beehives are nestled on an island in the gardens. Clarence House also boasts two beehives.

In 2022, these royal hives produced over 300 jars of honey, which were used in the palace kitchens, featuring dishes such as honey madeleines, chocolate truffle fillings, and honey cream sponge cake.
