Seven changes that would happen to your body if you gave up sugar for 14 days

A health expert has listed the seven changes that would happen to your body if you gave up sugar for 14 days. On his YouTube channel, Dr Eric Berg DC – who boasts 12 million subscribers – shared the ‘amazing’ things that can happen if you stop eating sugar.

Dr. Eric Berg DC is a licensed chiropractor specializing in healthy ketosis and intermittent fasting. He is the author of The Healthy Keto Plan. He is also the director of Dr Berg Nutritionals. Although she no longer practices, she instead focuses on health education through social media.

In his video, he discusses what happens to your body if you eliminate sugar for two weeks. He explained: “What you’re doing is switching from burning sugar to burning fat. This can take about three days and you may experience some symptoms in the process. But taking B vitamins and potassium can help with these symptoms.”

Some of the main changes he says will occur include weight loss, less fatigue and better skin. Other benefits of giving up sugar may include:

  • Build new enzymes to run your body on fat fuel.
  • Less inflammation in the arteries.
  • Brain cell growth.
  • Cleanse a fatty liver.
  • Better kidney function.

What would happen if you stopped eating sugar:

1. Lose sugar cravings

Dr Berg says that one of the first things that would happen is that you will eventually lose your appetite for sugar. He explained that every time you eat sugar, your hormones push your blood sugar down.

He added: “This causes a low blood sugar situation, hypoglycemia, to some extent and that will make you crave sugar. So by getting rid of sugar, you get rid of sugar cravings.”

2. Less hunger
