Will Leeds United boss say ‘auf wiedersehen’ to Elland Road?

That is the question being asked today after the Whites failed in their bid to return to the Premier League at the first attempt.

The team went down 1-0 to Southampton at Wembley in the Championship play-off final.

The fans seem to be backing the German to stay and guide them next year.

Leeds United Supporters Trust’s Pete Emmerson tells us he hopes this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Farke:

“If you think about July and August when he arrived and the turmoil the club was in. Players wanting to leave, left, right and centre. There’s no real style of play. He thought about running the team extremely well He gave us an identity. He played fantastic football.

“He’s really stretched our young team, with their skills, they’re playing better football than they were. I have no reason in my mind that he will look to leave or Leeds will look to dispose of his services.

“We saw him as a longer-term project, so we wanted to give him the opportunity in the Premier League that he didn’t have at Norwich. With the resources that Leeds could provide, that Norwich didn’t he could. So there is no reason for me to see him leaving the club and we all expect Daniel Farke to be leading the teams next season.”
