‘Not top notch’ – Erik ten Hag brutally quits new Liverpool boss Arne Slot’s Feyenoord

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has already watched Liverpool head coach Arne Slot.

Slot is set to take over for Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout from June 1. The Reds confirmed Slott’s appointment as head coach earlier this month, just a day after Klopp took charge in his final game as Liverpool manager.

For the past three seasons, Slot has taken charge of Feyenoord in the Eredivisie. He led the club to the league title last season and won the KNVB Cup this term after defeating NEC Nijmegen in the final.

Feyenoord finished second in the Eredivisie this season, seven points behind title winners PSV Eindhoven, managed by Peter Bosz. The Ten Hag has been impressed with what PSV have done this season and appeared disappointed by the praise that has been directed at Feyenoord under Slot.

“People talk too much about Feyenoord,” said Ten Hag, via The Mirror.

“Feyenoord have been consistent this year, but not at the top. PSV Eindhoven was two grades better in all areas. In terms of dominating the ball, in terms of pressure, in terms of intensity, you name it.
