A Place in the Sun viewers were left stunned by the end-credits message after a tearful finale

A Place in the Sun viewers were surprised by a message as the credits rolled on today’s show.

Monday’s episode saw the start of the new season as two buyers set out to find their dream home abroad. Jasmine Harman hosted the episode and helped Lisa and Neil find their dream home in Menorca.

The couple were armed with a budget of £300,000 and wanted a three-bed villa with a private pool. The search was extra special because Lisa was buying the house in memory of her mother, who had recently passed away.

Lisa fell in love with the last house during the search and broke down in tears when she said it was the perfect house. The property was on the market for just over £299,000 and they managed to secure it for £295,500.

Lisa and Neil were both in tears after buying the house. Jasmine was also emotional when she said, “It’s a really special thing because it will always remind you of your mother.”

Viewers were excited to have a new batch of episodes to look forward to from the popular series. Jasmine confirmed that it was a new episode earlier, stating: “The new episode. Today at 4pm on @channel4 I’ll be helping Lisa and Neil find their dream holiday home in Menorca for £250,000! @aplaceinthesunofficial

“Hands up in the comments if you’ve visited Menorca?” However, fans watching the show on social media platform X were surprised to see in the credits that the episode was filmed two years ago.

Travel_carole said: “June 2022!!! I thought this was the new series?”

The new season is set to continue tomorrow on Channel 4 at 4pm.
