Three contracts agreed, two new signings, Mohamed Salah plan – Liverpool’s dream transfer window

A busy summer awaits Liverpool and it is probably the most important in the club’s recent history.

The Reds will have new head coach Arne Slot at the helm when he officially takes over from Jurgen Klopp on June 1. Work will already be underway from the Anfield hierarchy on their plans for Slot’s first summer transfer window in charge.

Richard Hughes is in his first summer as Liverpool’s new sporting director. He will join Michael Edwards, who was appointed Fenway Sports Group’s managing director of football earlier this year, as the Reds embark on the first season of the post-Klopp era.

Liverpool will already have an idea of what they want to achieve in the upcoming summer transfer window. Here, the ECHO takes a look at what can be considered a ‘dream’ scenario to be presented to the Reds when the window closes in a few months’ time.

New contracts for important trio

Even though the transfer windows are centered around new signings, Liverpool may have other priorities this summer.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are out of contract within 12 months. As a result, speculation continues to mount over the future of the trio, who all have a case to be considered one of Liverpool’s most important players.
