Liverpool set to reunite with fans’ favorite as Premier League vote result ‘out’

Liverpool are preparing to embark on a new era following the departure of Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp oversaw his final game as Reds manager earlier this month, ending almost nine years in the Anfield dugout. The German will be replaced by Arne Slot, who will take over as Liverpool’s new head coach from June 1.

Slott will take charge of his first pre-season as Liverpool boss in July, before the start of the new Premier League season the following month. There are already rumors of what potential transfer business the Reds could carry out ahead of Slot’s first season in charge.

Adam Lallana is preparing for his return to the Premier League

Former Liverpool star Adam Lallana is closing in on a Premier League return with a new club.

Lallana will leave Brighton this summer as a free agent when his contract expires. The announcement earlier this month sparked speculation that the former Reds midfielder could retire to pursue a career in coaching.

However, The Telegraph report that Southampton are in talks to sign Lallana this summer. Lallana left Saints in 2014 to join Liverpool after previously captaining Southampton during his time at St Mary’s.

ECHO says: Lallana will always be held in high regard by Liverpool supporters. He was a fan favorite during his time at Anfield and was part of the team that won four major trophies in the space of 12 months, including the Premier League title.

If Lallana continues his Premier League career next season with Southampton, he will surely receive a warm welcome when Saints travel to Anfield.

Liverpool’s intention to vote on VAR emerges

Liverpool will vote against a proposal to scrap VAR at the Premier League’s annual meeting.

Wolves have put forward the proposal that VAR will no longer be used in the top flight next season. Premier League clubs will meet to vote on the proposal at their annual meeting on June 6.

According to Give Me Sport, Liverpool will vote to keep VAR in the Premier League next season. The report claims that the Reds will be joined by Arsenal and Chelsea in voting against the proposal, which looks set to fail at next month’s meeting.
