The Huddersfield restaurant is offering kids a free meal on Trouble Free Wednesdays and in the school holidays

A restaurant owner is offering a ‘kids eat free’ deal to help families make their money go a little further during the school holidays.

Ian Braund of Holmfirth Tex-Mex restaurant Mexicali has an offer where one child eats free with a full-price adult meal. The offer is available on bank holidays, school holidays and has been extended to become hassle free Wednesdays.

Ian says it’s the restaurant’s way of helping families during the cost of living crisis. Big companies offer similar deals, but Ian says it’s not always possible for smaller restaurants to get the word out.
