Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber Patent Images Leaks, Coming Soon

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber is expected to go on sale in India soon and will get a number of updates over the regular Classic.

Royal Enfield is currently working on a series of new motorcycles in the 350cc, 450cc and 650cc segments. In FY24, the Chennai-based manufacturer plans to introduce a number of new models to further strengthen its portfolio, not just in India but also abroad. We recently informed you about possible future REs during this fiscal year.

Now, patent images of the Classic 350-based bobber have surfaced, indicating that it could be launched first before other bikes. The bobber has already been spotted testing on public roads and gets cosmetic and ergonomic changes over the standard Classic 350, which is the best seller in the 350cc middleweight space in the domestic market.

The leaked images show the presence of a single rider seat, but unusually, it is elongated that forward and the thick rear wing is exposed to add flavor to the bobber body type. The bike will compete with the bobber-style offerings from Jawa and Yezdi. Split grip rails can also be seen in the patent images.

To maintain its vintage look, wire-spoke wheels are mounted front and rear with whitewall tires, while the handlebars are more upright than on the regular Classic 350. Royal Enfield is expected to offer an optional removable seat and the footrests appear to be positioned slightly forward compared to the relaxed ergo.

The semi-digital instrument console and switchgear could be taken from the familiar 350cc Royal Enfield parts bin. Without any change in performance, the Royal Enfield Classic bobber will be powered by the same 349cc, SOHC, air-oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing a maximum power of 20.2 bhp and a peak torque of 27 Nm. It will be mated to a five-speed transmission.

RE already sells the Meteor 350 as a cruiser offering and thus the upcoming bobber will be placed above the Classic 350 in the price range of around Rs. 2.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The list of equipment will include front telescopic forks, double rear shock absorbers, front and rear disc brakes assisted by a double-channel ABS system, Tripper Navigation, etc.
