Eamonn Holmes has revealed an unexpected new career direction following his high-profile split from wife Ruth Langsford. The TV duo, both 64, stunned fans on Saturday with the news that they were ending their 14-year marriage and proceeding with a divorce.

Eamonn, who is said to “refuse to play a part” in what he perceives to be Ruth’s “very orchestrated” announcement of their split, is a familiar face on British television. Now he’s venturing into the travel show, teaming up with 40-year-old Hayley Sparkes, the Mirror reports.

Commenting on his new role as spokesperson for the travel franchise, the GB News presenter shared: “Working in news means I often see or report on how the travel industry is being disrupted. During the pandemic, it was clear that those who booked. through travel agencies they had support and advice when they needed it most.”

He added: “If I want something done, I get it done by someone with experience in the field and travel is no different. I would never consider booking my holiday independently. Eamonn will also join forces with Hayley, who has expressed her admiration for him, calling him “her idol”, to co-host a podcast. In addition, Eamonn has already hosted a seminar on board the luxury cruise ship Sky Princess while sailing through Scandinavia.

Hayley shared her excitement about working with Eamonn Holmes on Instagram, posting a picture of the two of them and writing: ‘What a dream come true!
