The Shard End is alive after a man was stabbed near Heath Way Post Office

Police cordoned off a shopping district in the Shard End after a man was allegedly ‘stabbed’ in the area on Monday (May 27). The extended cordon near Heath Way Post Office remains in place this morning.

Paramedics and police were called to the scene at around 7.20pm last night. The man received advanced trauma care for serious injuries before being transported to hospital.




His condition today has not been released by West Midlands Ambulance Service. Footage from the scene last night showed police blocking the middle of Heath Way. Traffic was stopped.

The road is no longer blocked, according to the traffic website Inrix. Police have yet to issue a statement on the incident.


A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing on Heath Way, Shard End, at 7.20pm. Crews found a man with serious injuries. He received advanced trauma care at the scene before being transported to hospital.”

A man has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition following reports of a stabbing in the Shard End last night.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing on Heath Way, Shard End, at 7.20pm. Crews found a man with serious injuries. He received advanced trauma care at the scene before being transported to hospital.”
