Family ‘broken’ after young woman found dead in West Midlands tragedy

The grieving family of a young woman found dead in the West Midlands have paid tribute to their “irreplaceable” daughter. Grace Gardner was discovered at a house in Bewdley at around 5pm on Tuesday, April 23.

West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police crews were called to the scene at 5.10pm. Tragically, nothing could be done to save her and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two women and a man were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder, but have since been released on bail. Now Grace’s family have released an image of the 21-year-old as they paid tribute.

Their tribute read: “Grace was our beautiful, treasured and irreplaceable daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Grace had so much to look forward to in her young life, cut so unexpectedly short.

“As a child, Grace was a keen footballer and loved going out to the stables with her grandfather as they loved their horses. Grace loved so many things including music and was a talented guitarist and singer.

“Grace brought all the warmth of her personality to her songs. She was warm, funny, witty, kind and caring with so much love to give.

“Grace’s special love was for her younger siblings. She was devoted to them as well as her friend’s nieces, nephew and children.

“We are completely devastated. Our family and friends are heartbroken by the tragic loss of Grace.

“You were much loved and will be missed everyday for eternity. Fly high, our beautiful and amazing Grace”.

West Mercia Police say inquiries into Grace’s death are “ongoing”.
