Recap that six people were transported to the hospital after the accident in the county

Six people were taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Leicestershire this morning (Wednesday 8 May), the fire service said. Leicestershire Police said the junction of Charley Road and the B591/Npantan Road near Loughborough was closed in both directions as a result of the incident.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said police were called to the scene at 8.40am. They say two vehicles were involved in the collision and no one was caught.




Six people were said to have been taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary by East Midlands Ambulance Service. The severity of their injuries is not known at this stage.
