There was a scene for most of Tuesday – with a cordon blocking the entrance to a section of Haworth Road in both directions from Thorn Lane to Thorn Drive.

Several drivers were caught unawares by the cordon and had to make u-turns and detours.

There were also diversions for the First 620 and 680 bus services, via Lynfield Drive and Heights Lane.
