Motorists were urged to avoid the main route after the crash

Motorists have been urged to avoid the A361 near Trowbridge after a crash blocked the road in both directions.

Road traffic collision on the A361 at the Stoney Gutter junction involving a white Mazda and a red vehicle.

Police said they responded to reports of a traffic collision at 2:30 p.m.

Police closed the road in both directions while emergency services dealt with the incident.

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: “No serious injuries or arrests have been reported. The road was closed for approximately two hours while the vehicles were recovered.”
