7 impossible stunts with Tom Cruise

Marvel star Hayley Atwell is no stranger to an action sequence where the actress reveals she wanted to give Tom Cruise a run for his money and do her own stunts.

The Agent Carter actress plays Grace in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One alongside Cruise’s Ethan Hunt.

Joining the franchise for this film, What If? said the star The digital spy that he knew he had to step up when he appeared next to Tom.

She said: “You don’t go in as the leading lady opposite Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible if you don’t want to do your own stunts or if you’re like, ‘I’m going to leave this one out.’ He’ll say, “What, but you can do that.”

Cruise is known for doing his own stunts, with Mission: Impossible 7 featuring one of his most daring stunts to date.

Atwell revealed that she underwent a strict training program from stunt experts.

“I had this team of expert stuntmen and women overseeing all my training, so it meant I was fit for purpose,” she said. “It meant on any given day, my physical behavior and what I built up to be able to do physically was dynamic, it was safe enough that I could change elements of the performance to make it seem more reckless or fuller. of self-doubt.”

Atwell praised her co-star for his rigorous safety checks and his discipline in making sure every element of a scene was as it needed to be for it to be executed effectively and safely.

She said: “Part of the reason that fearlessness came about was that Tom is so prepared and disciplined and will exercise every physical movement that he has to do, knowing where the obstacles are, checking the harness and stuff.

Mission: Impossible 7 recently received an impressive 99% on Rotten Tomatoes, up from an already high 98% before the review embargo was lifted on Wednesday (July 5).

This means that the newest installment surpasses the previous high of the Fallout franchise, Mission: Impossible, by 97%.

Mission: Impossible 2 holds the franchise’s lowest approval score of 56%.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will be released in UK cinemas on July 10th and in US cinemas on July 12th.
