Aaron Wan-Bissaka could part ways with Manchester United, with talks ‘ongoing’ with Inter over his summer transfer.

Full-backs have been an integral part of Manchester United’s DNA. In their last title-winning campaign under Sir Alex Ferguson, the Red Devils sustained the attacking pressure for most of the season using the full-backs effectively.

In recent seasons, the two spots in the defensive wings have been affected by injuries. While Luke Shaw has more or less cemented his effectiveness, injuries have spoiled the party more often than not. However, of late both Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have emerged as key players in that area.

The Englishman, in particular, is most famous for his knack for making effective tackles, coming out with the ball at his feet and the opponent practically ducking wide.

Against City in the FA Cup final, the way he thwarted Jeremy Doku earned him plenty of plaudits from fans and pundits alike. However, his days doing so at the Theater of Dreams may come to an end this summer.

Manchester United are negotiating with Inter for Aaron Wan-Bissaka – report

Conformable TuttomercatowebManchester United have been in talks with Inter Milan “for several days” over the possibility of selling Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.

While the 26-year-old is clearly a top player with a specific valuable skill set, his purported valuation in this deal might surprise a few.

The report adds that Wan-Bissaka is valued at around €12m (£10m). The former Crystal Palace star moved to Old Trafford for a fee believed to be in the region of £50million.

This lowball figure doesn’t seem to stack up against other players of his caliber. Moreover, such a low transfer fee may not help much in the context of FFP restrictions.

It is also understood that the defender will be given a three-year contract, with an option for a further year, at Inter.
