The Coquitlam Center is set to reopen on Tuesday, May 19

A pickup schedule will begin next week for select retailers to limit overcrowding

The Coquitlam center has operated with reduced hours and small retailers closed for most of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the facility is scheduled to reopen Tuesday, May 19, as part of phase 2 of the province’s economic reopening plan. .

Located at 2929 Barnet Hwy, Coquitlam Center is one of the closest and largest malls in the Tri-Cities area and is frequented by Maple Ridge residents.

The mall has not finalized which merchants will participate, but a curbside pickup program is scheduled to begin for some businesses on May 25.

Shoppers are encouraged to order by phone or online, with the store announcing when and where to pick it up.

The mall has designated the Northeast Plaza entrance on Pinetree Way as a pickup area where a store employee will deliver the purchase.

Pickup will be available daily between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM

Coquitlam Center management encourages visitors to sanitize their hands before and after entering the shopping center and to keep two meters from others at all times.

In addition, people are encouraged to stay home if they have a fever, cold or flu-like symptoms, avoid touching their mouth, nose and eyes with unwashed hands, and avoid coming to the mall if they have been in contact with someone who is sick.
