3 alternatives to Mika Biereth Sheffield Wednesday should consider

The 21-year-old Irishman previously played for Preston North End with eight goals in 21 games and a move to Hillsborough could see him regain his dangerous best on a new loan deal.

Duncan McGuire – Orlando City

Like Biereth, McGuire was targeted by Sheffield Wednesday in January, but when a move to Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers fell through, the American forward was forced to return to Orlando City.

A move could be on the cards again this summer, although his offer expires at the end of the calendar year. It would probably be a permanent deal, so he would need Dejphon Chansiri’s approval.

However, he could become a fantastic asset for the Owls in the short term and if he can maintain his current trajectory, McGuire is someone who could make the club a healthy profit for years to come.

Troy Parrott – Tottenham Hotspur
