A teenager has been left needing surgery after an “incredibly serious” street attack. Warwickshire Police say the teenager, who has not been identified, was allegedly assaulted while walking in the Gas Street area of ​​Rugby.

A spokesman for the force said the incident left him with a fractured eye socket, requiring surgery. Detectives investigating the attack are now urging anyone with information to come forward.




DC Butcher said: “This was an incredibly serious incident which resulted in a teenager requiring hospitalisation. This will not be tolerated in our city – and we are working around the clock to progress this investigation.

“Did you see anything suspicious? Did you catch anything on your dashcam or CCTV? If so, please contact us as soon as possible.”
