Manchester United are in talks with Inter to lower the price to offload the starlet

Inter Milan are close to reaching an agreement to secure the services of Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a reduced fee of just €12 million.

Reports out of Italy suggest that Manchester United would accept an offer well below their market value.

Inter Milan are confident they can complete the deal and also get the best out of a player who has only shown a handful of top-flight skills while at Old Trafford.

Wan-Bissaka would struggle to convince Erik Ten Hag that he deserves more chances to show that quality if the Dutchman remains at the helm of Manchester United, but a change of manager could encourage him to sort out the tough stuff.

The full-back’s defensive qualities are not in question, but he really hasn’t offered much to his manager going forward.

For all his flaws, Wan-Bissaka is a unique footballer and a Manchester United would struggle to replace the likes.

It is the minimum fee of €12 million that is the key element for Manchester United to avoid recording a capital loss on the player.

According to the Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb, Inter Milan are ready to offer Wan-Bissaka a three-year contract worth €2.7 million per season. There would also be an option to extend the contract for another year.

Inter Milan come on for Dumfries

Denzel Dumfries could be on his way out of the Inter Milan set-up with a year left on his current contract.

Inter Milan have already been burnt by players leaving on a free transfer and it would make sense for them to seek a deal to move Dumfries and sign a replacement.

Aston Villa and Manchester United themselves are among the clubs who have shown an interest in signing Dumfries.

At 28, he is over the age limit that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos would like to set for any new signing.

Wan-Bissaka still has his supporters among the Manchester United support thanks to his sporadic displays of incredible talent.

He was among the standouts and Manchester United stunned Pep Guardiola’s city in the FA Cup final.

However, it now looks like the Red Devils will be looking to build on that performance to secure an exit for the pacey defender.
