Reported hate crime leads to CCTV appeal

A hate crime has been reported in Leicestershire after a man in a pub made a series of offensive comments to another man. Police are now looking to trace a man in connection with the incident.

It is alleged to have happened on Saturday, March 30, when an Asian man was approached by another man in a pub in Main Street, Stathern, near Melton. During their conversation, the second man made a series of offensive comments to the Asian man.




The incident was reported as a hate crime. Leicestershire Police are now appealing for the public’s help.

As part of their appeal, the force released an image of a man. They believe they may have “valuable” information related to the reported incident.
