Coventry pub reopens after major refurbishment

A COVENTRY pub is welcoming customers back after an extensive three-week refurbishment.

The Nugget has a brighter and more modern look with a refreshed bar, new soft furnishings and an improved dining area.

The pub also has a new food menu including Laying it on Chick Burger, Tandoori Chicken sizzling skillet and Giant Gyros.

The Nugget also has a brand new drink menu featuring classic cocktails and craft beers.

Managing Director Charles Freeman said: “We are delighted to unveil the new look of The Nugget to our guests. Whether you’re looking for a family meal or somewhere to enjoy some sport with a pint, our pub is ready to welcome guests, both new and old, to enjoy our new look- brand new – but with the same sparkle I’ve always had. he had.”

The Nugget hosts a quiz every Wednesday night from 8pm and a rock and roll themed bingo every Thursday night from 8.30pm.

On the last Friday of the month, there is a karaoke evening from 21.00.

The pub has a Sky Blues themed sports bar, in tribute to its long-standing links with the club, it was known as The Sky Blue Tavern when the pub was leased by Coventry City in the sixties.
