A 28-year-old man died after his ATV left the road in the Newfoundland community of Bristol’s Hope on Tuesday, according to RCMP.

In a news release, police said the man’s ATV left the road and rolled several times. The driver, who police say was wearing a helmet, was taken to hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police received the accident report just before 5:30 p.m., according to the release. Harbor Grace RCMP, emergency medical services and members of the Harbor Grace Volunteer Fire Brigade responded to the scene.

Bristol’s Hope is located approximately six kilometers from Carbonear.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
