ITV’s Emmerdale killer has his fate ‘sealed’ when the secret is out

Emmerdale fans believe a killer character has her future set in stone.

Ruby Fox-Milligan found herself under intense pressure as she tried to hold her nerve after the ITV soap aired the shock twist in Ethan Anderson’s story when he died following a sudden collapse at home. The disgraced barrister was due to plead guilty in court after fleeing the scene of a car crash in which Ruby’s son Nicky is fighting for his life.

In a moment of madness, Ruby decided to give Ethan a taste of his own medicine and ran him over with her car during the village fete. He seemed to make a sudden recovery and went about his normal life until the tragic turn of events.

Ethan’s father, Charles Anderson, is adamant that the hit-and-run cannot be a coincidence, telling police as such. His partner Manpreet Sharma had earlier said there would be a post-mortem.

Ruby is already convinced she’s to blame, having confessed as much to her husband Caleb Milligan. She becomes unable to hide her guilt from her son Nicky and, determined that “there will be no more lies”, confesses to him too – putting him in an awkward position.

A vengeful Ruby admitted: “I just wanted to shake him off.” A disgusted Nicky replied: “You hit him for God’s sake and now he’s dead.”
