Live: Police incident closes road in Bristol city centre

A main route through Bristol is closed in both directions this morning (Thursday 30 May) due to a police incident. The A38, Cheltenham Road is fully closed by police causing major delays in the area.


Road and traffic monitoring website Inrix first reported the incident at 8.38am. It reads: “A38 Cheltenham Road closed in both directions, delays due to police incident from Arley Hill to B4051 Ashley Road.”



The nature of the incident is not known at this time. BristolLive has contacted Avon and Somerset Police for more information.
