A man died in an emergency when the air ambulance arrived

A man has died following a medical emergency as the air ambulance was seen landing on a pitch in Black Country. West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) rushed to Stonedown Close, in the Bilston area of ​​Wolverhampton, after the alarm was raised on Wednesday morning yesterday, May 29.

WMAS sent two ambulances and the Midlands Air Ambulance was also flown in from Cosford, near Wolverhampton, after being alerted at 7.03am. A man was discovered by paramedics on arrival but despite their best efforts nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead.




Worried residents reported seeing the air ambulance land on Woodcross Park yesterday morning. A WMAS spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a medical emergency at a private address on Stonedown Close at 7.03am, two ambulances and Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.

“Upon arrival I discovered a patient, a man. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of the ambulance staff, it became apparent that nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.”
