OCS lands Birmingham Airport contract extension

OCS has been awarded a two-year contract extension to continue providing essential cleaning services at Birmingham Airport.

The scope of these services includes not only airport terminals, but also various other buildings, including outdoor areas, winter sanding for terminal surroundings, toilet hygiene and high-level window cleaning.

The contract extension is a direct result of OCS’s consistent service delivery to Birmingham Airport. Building on its previous five-year contract (which started in May 2019) and which saw OCS introduce robotics into its service package, OCS will now provide services until April 2026.

In addition, the extension widens the scope of the contract, creating additional employment opportunities with a focus on recruiting from the local Birmingham area.

Deane Arnold, Terminal Operations Manager at Birmingham Airport said: “We are delighted to expand our partnership with OCS. The company’s consistent service delivery and flexibility have been essential in maintaining the high standards we expect at Birmingham Airport. This sustained working relationship ensures that our passengers and facilities continue to benefit from OCS’s expertise.”

Richard Marshall, OCS Sector General Manager, Transport, commented: “We are delighted to continue our successful partnership with Birmingham Airport. This contract extension reflects our commitment to providing exceptional service and maintaining a positive working relationship.”
