Darwin Núñez is back on social media as Liverpool miss out on the Champions League bonus

There are just two games left in the season for Liverpool and it looks like the club are closing in on appointing Jürgen Klopp’s successor. Arne Slot looks set to be the man in charge at Anfield next season with his appointment all but confirmed.

While we wait for his arrival to be confirmed, there is still plenty of drama on Merseyside, primarily with Darwin Núñez. The striker’s social media activity has caused quite a stir in recent days as he continues to be linked with a move away from Liverpool in the summer. Here’s a rundown of the latest Liverpool news.

Darwin Núñez posts on social media for the first time since deleting his Liverpool photos

Darwin Núñez has taken to social media for the first time since deleting all pictures of himself in a Liverpool kit from his Instagram account. The Uruguay international has been making headlines in recent days as he continues to be linked with a move away from Anfield.

Spanish outlet Sport have linked Núñez with a move to Barcelona this week as the 24-year-old appears unhappy with his current situation. He was named as a substitute for the second game in a row against Tottenham on Monday before deleting all images of himself in Liverpool gear from social media.

Núñez posted for the first time since taking this drastic action. The attacker posted photos of himself on holiday with family and friends in Disneyland, along with the caption: “Days off with family and friends”.

Núñez is seen alongside Uruguay teammate Ronaldo Araújo in some of the images. The Liverpool forward sparked more speculation when he was spotted with the Barcelona defender earlier this week.
