Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could leave Leicester City this summer, according to a report.

The midfielder is coming off a truly stunning title-winning campaign with the Foxes. Enzo Maresca’s side went into a comfortable lead at the top of the Championship table in the early parts of last season, allowing them to take their foot off the gas in the match.

One of the standout performers in the campaign that saw Leicester return to the Premier League at the first question was Dewsbury-Hall. The 25-year-old home hero notched up a ridiculous 12 goals and 14 assists from central midfield, putting his name firmly on the map.

The likes of Arsenal, Brighton and Man Utd were said to be tracking the Foxes academy product, but the player appeared to quash any transfer speculation when he announced he had no intention of leaving just weeks ago.

However, Leicester’s dire financial situation and coach Maresca’s departure to Chelsea could change things massively.

Dewsbury-Hall to go?

At least so says Ben Jacobs, who spoke about Dewsbury-Hall’s future in an interview with The United Stand. “You’ve got Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who will be available a bit cheaper even though Leicester have been promoted because of their financial situation.”

“And now that Enzo Maresca has gone to Chelsea, the player won’t necessarily be so attached to the Leicester project if he feels they can’t consolidate under a new manager and maybe even start the season with a points deduction, a minimum of six, but he would it could even reach double figures.”

“Brighton made a bid for Kieran Dewsbury-Hall in January for £20m and Leicester rejected it as ridiculous and at the time sources indicated they were looking for £45m. Now, I think the price for Dewsbury-Hall will be somewhere in between, between £20m and £45m.”

“So £30m could be enough to get Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall because Leicester have to sell and that’s a deal for me. (He’s) a player who would fit very well into Man Utd’s system and I’m sure Brighton will be back as well.”
